Ribchester Roman museum. Year 4 - 2024. We came, we saw, we conquered!

Making biscuits in Design and Technology in Year 4 was good fun (the tasting too!).

In Art / DT we designed then made our own Roman mosaics using beans, lentils, pulses and pasta. We had to think about size, colour and placement.

In Science we used egg shells to investigate which liquid did the most damage to the enamel on our teeth. Which one did the most do you think? Why?

During DT we enjoyed using dowel and glue guns to construct structures.

In Science, we have investigated the sound level (in decibels) when dropping an object from different heights onto a drum.

We had a zoom meeting in Year 4, all about the aviation industry and the jobs that we could do!

The band concert in Year 4 was a great success and what a fabulous turn out from our audience too!

We had lots of fitness and fun with our TRI-KIDZ visitors.

On Science Day we made shelters (using different materials) to keep an ice-cube cold.

We had so much fun on World Book Day.

In DT we designed and built some structures using linguine and blu tac.

Through Science and Design/ Technology we have built our own torches.

Through our Science we have learnt all about circuits and how to make them.

Through History and Art we have recreated some Ancient Greek patterns.

And here we are looking at different shapes using the same area.

Here are a few examples of our Maths this term (column addition).
