Pictures of the prefects, head boys and girls this year and all the children performing their model pupil assembly.

Year 5 children have participated in the Art and Science in Residence project at The Mount, Fleetwood led by local artist Tina Dempsey. They examined closely beach finds on our coast , looked at patterns, colours and textures and made prints.

We have been learning about careers as part of learning for the Jobs Junction. Thank you to all our helpers, who came in to discuss their jobs with the children.

Children from Year 5 have been taking part in Bikeability. They have been learning how to cycle safely.

Have a look at our Christmas displays, this year's theme was The Nightmare Before Christmas.

In science, we have been testing materials to see how absorbent they are.

5M Beach School

Here are our finished puppet designs and pull string mechanisms for our DT project.

This week we have been using string and pulley systems to create our own pull-string puppets.

Our Year 5 Rotakids ambassadors are very excited about working together to try and find ways to help people in their local community and the wider world. Last week, they made some posters to raise awareness for our Harvest food festival. They can be seen on the walls all around the school!

We have been ordering all the events throughout history. Our first history topic this year is the Anglo-Saxons, Scots and Vikings.
