Year 5 2024 - 2025
We've been learning about the Viking legend of Beowulf and discussing the roles of the characters in the story in preparation for next week's poetry with imagery session.

Today we had a visit from the author Jack Meggitt-Phillips, who told us all about his books and about writing professionally.
Using Terragen on the computers we have designed 3D environments and taken pictures of them. We also changed the colours, effects and atmosphere to create different types of images.
Today we measured the relative distance between the planets using toilet paper sheets on the school field.
We really enjoyed learning about the tides on our beach school session today. This also ties into our learning about the moon in science lessons.
