Home Page Shakespeare Primary School β€œIt is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” William Shakespeare

World Book Day takes place Thursday 3rd March and we hope you'll join us as we come together to encourage every child in school to be a reader and love books.

To celebrate World Book Day, we will have plenty of fun activities taking place throughout the day including:

  •  Inviting children to dress up as their favourite book character.
  •  We look forward to seeing as many of our children dressed up as possible.
  •  There will be an Infant and Junior prize for the most inventive costume.
  •   Alternatively, if you so wish, World Book Day T shirts and hoodies may be  worn    on the day. https://goodstitch.org.uk/collection/world-book-day-2022-77243/

Any clothing orders will need to be made through this website.

Each child will receive a £1 World Book Day voucher to either get a free book from a local bookseller or use it to get a pound off a child's book.

We are also looking forward to a visit from Primary Books Book Fair. This will take place on the 29th and 30th March.

More details to follow shortly.
