  • Elf Week 2022

    Tue 29 Nov 2022

    ELF WEEK

Next week is Elf Week and we will be raising money for Brian House Children’s Hospice. They care for local children with very complex needs and life-limiting conditions. Each year it costs over £1 million to run Brian House 24/7 so our contribution is always hugely appreciated.

We have organised the following to raise money which will take part in your child’s year group -

    1. A raffle with elf themed prizes - 50p a ticket.

    2. Name the elf game with a cuddly elf as the prize - 50p a guess.

    3. Each class with have a box to put in any loose change.

    4. Elf hats are available to buy for £1.50 in your child's class but there is a limited number.

On Monday 12th your child(ren) can wear their elf hats, Santa hats or reindeer antlers from previous years with their uniform.

They can also wear a Christmas jumper or any Christmas accessories to jazz up their uniform!

A voluntary donation is welcomed of cash or a donation of food towards the food bank.

All the money raised throughout the week will go to the children’s hospice for the amazing care and support they give.

    Thank you :)

  • Anti-Bullying Week 2022

    Mon 21 Nov 2022

Last week was Anti-Bullying Week and as a school we all came together to help put a stop to bullying. This year's theme was 'Reach Out'.

Bullying affects millions of lives and can leave us feeling hopeless but it doesn't have to be this way. If we challenge it, we can change it and it starts by reaching out.

On Thursday our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and Anti-Bullying reps gave a whole school assembly and spoke about how we can reach out and who we can reach out to if we experience or see bullying behaviour.

Representatives from each year group showed their wonderful Anti-Bullying door displays.

  • Odd Socks Day 2022

    Mon 14 Nov 2022

    It's Odd Socks Day!

To mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week, everyone was invited to join in and wear odd socks to school to celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique. It has been lovely to see so many students across the whole school get involved, thank you to all for taking part!

  • Anti-Bullying Week 2022

    Wed 09 Nov 2022

This year the theme for Anti-Bullying Week is REACH OUT. Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and Reps will be giving a whole school assembly on Thursday 17th November.

The theme of Reach Out came about from teachers and children wanting a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.

Anti-Bullying Week will remind everyone whether it’s in school, at home, in the community or online, let’s reach out and show each other the support we need.

Bullying affects millions of lives and can leave us feeling hopeless. But it doesn’t have to be this way. If we challenge it, we can change it. And it starts by reaching out.

From teachers to parents and influencers to politicians, we all have a responsibility to help each other reach out.

Together, let’s be the change we want to see. Reflect on our own behaviour, set positive examples and create kinder communities.

It takes courage, but it can change lives. So, this Anti-Bullying Week, let’s come together and reach out to stop bullying.

We will be starting off Anti-Bullying Week with Odd Socks Day on Monday 14th November.

Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!

There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or to buy expensive costumes.  All you have to do to take part is wear odd socks to your school, at work of at home, it couldn’t be simpler!

You can help us make a memorable event that raises as much money as possible by supporting the fundraising activities in our school.

Pudsey wristbands will be available for your child to buy in their classroom for £1 from Monday 14th November.

On Friday 18th, we are asking for a donation of £1 to participate in wearing anything 'spotty' including Pudsey merchandise if you wish.

We're aiming to raise even more money this year to support disadvantaged young people across the UK.
