We have enjoyed meeting in our new outdoor classroom. It is very cosy under the canopy. We have learnt about moving around the fire safely and practised making a spark. We tidied up our habitat areas and made bird feeders out of cheerios. We went for a spring time walk to Fleetwood Memorial Park, looked at the flowers and identified the oldest and newest trees. However, the thing we most enjoy is having delicious toasted marshmallows!
2019
We like to be very active in Wild Nature Club. We have tidied up the outdoor school areas and done some planting. We visited Fleetwood Memorial Park for a spring time walk and enjoyed looking at the plants, trees and flowers. We visited the beach to see what we could find and made some beach rainbows. We have practised knot tying and campfire cooking. Our roasted chocolate bananas were delicious!
2018
We have enjoyed going to Fleetwood Memorial Park and doing Forest School activities.
We have learnt how to be around a fire safely, how to use a range of tools safely to make woodland items and have spent time exploring and discovering new things in the park. We all enjoyed having hot chocolate and eating marshmallows and popcorn at the end of each session. Thank you to Kate Baird at Memorial Park for leading such fantastic sessions.
