I am sure that you will have seen the announcement made by the government last week regarding a possible phased return to school and return to work for people who cannot work from home. I, like you, saw this for the first time at 7pm last night. We have been given no details as yet as to what is meant by 'phased return'. As soon as we have more details from the government and the DfE we will let you know the arrangements for possible school reopening. At the moment we know no more than you.
Government guidelines re children in school at the moment have not changed. We will continue to provide places for vulnerable children and those with parents who are identified as key workers by the government. Please remember that, even if you fit into the key worker category children should only be in school if there is NO OTHER OPTION as government advice is still that children are safer at home. Also remember that children do not have to be in school all day but only whilst you are working. In order to safeguard the children who have to be in school and the staff, numbers need to remain as low as possible at this time.
Please be assured as soon as we have further details you will be informed.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support,
With best wishes
